On the morning of October 30, 2016, at 7.40 a.m., million inhabitants in Central Italy noticed a new shock: 6.5 magnitude, the strongest of the sequence and the greatest in Italy since the earthquake in 1980 in Irpinia, its epicenter 5 kilometers from Norcia.

Despite further collapsing, no more killed, nor injured. In many cases, the places previously affected underwent increase in damage, sometimes to total destruction, as with the Church of San Salvatore in Campi.
